The Challenge
The challenge for this project was to create a brand identity for a fictional company, and create a logo suite as well as a range of collateral mockups that help demostrate the brand to viewers.
Bright Pharmaceuticals was my semester-long project for the Package Design course I took at NIC. This project introduced me to the basics of branding, package design, and mockup creation.
This project spanned the course of a full semester and was focused on putting our design skills to the test by creating a brand new company and creating a series of product labels for my newly created company.
The Approach
For this project, I began by sketching out a wide range of logo variants until I landed on one that best represented what I wanted Bright Pharmceuticals to be; bold, dynamic, and symbolic. I gathered a collection of old medical pakages to see what they have in common, and what I gathered is many package use swooping elements to draw the viewers eyes, as well as the use of bright colours to help make their packages stand out on shelves.
The Results
After the logo and the style guide was complete, I moved onto designing the product labels for my brand. Since my brand is a pharmaceutical company, I focused on creating labels for tablet bottles, as well as glass vaccine vials. I focused on creating a simple yet modern esign that would go hand in hand with the company's forward-looking approach and used bright colours that would align with the purpose of the product.
In addition to the product labels, I created a series of promotional assets as well as corporate signage for the brand. This included a toque, a lanyard, and a series of signage mockups for an exterior sign as well as a wall mounted sign.
